Characters

Below are detailed the main characters that I own. Whilst others may be mentioned in stories, they do not have sufficient back stories to warrant a mention on this page.

Benjamin

Benjamin is a young man, just over 22 years of age when we first meet him. Tall and slender, with defined shoulders, he has a tousled mass of dirty blonde loose curls that cascade to just above his shoulders. His parents are both dead, and when we are introduced to him, he is living with his Uncle, an abusive and lecherous alcoholic prone to mood swings.

Benjamin does not appear to have had any significant sexual experiences, and his sexuality is not explicitly defined. However, it appears that he is more open-minded than some of his peers may expect him to be.

He is now working as the personal Butler to Camorra.

Camorra

Camorra is a vampire. He is of an indeterminate age to the eye, but is several centuries old, with possible origins somewhere in the 13th Century. He is tall, with black hair that comes nearly to his elbows, and alabaster-pale skin. Slight though he may appear, Camorra is prodigiously strong and fast. Always elegantly dressed, his favourite attire is some form of formal Victorian gentleman; tailcoat, cape, and top-hat. He is apparently well off, but does not seem to work. His library is small but comprehensive, and a careful study would reveal some most surprising tomes.

He has a weakness for young men, of the 18-24 age group. While not expressly defining his sexuality, it is a relatively safe bet that women no longer interest him particularly. His targets are picked with extreme car, judged on their looks and their vitality; after such a long existence, Camorra will happily wait until the vintage of his choice presents itself rather than endure quality he is not satisfied with. Not one to become attached to his victims, he has nevertheless found himself feeling a strange protectiveness towards his new butler.

As it turned out, life went in a more unexpected direction, and he finds himself head-over-heels - and very happy - in consort with the angel Valtiele Lawliet. Having stalked him for a time, he finally caught up with the angel, and has no resolved that he may well have found the one he had been searching for.

Malachi

Malachi is the twin brother of Nikolai. He is slim and almost boyish, with an impudent grin and a fondness for pushing Blitzkrieg as far as he can. His hair is a riot; a shock of jet black that is permanently on the verge of being uncontrollable. He's probably about mid-twenties, but no-one really knows.

Despite being something of a piss-artist, he's prodigiously intelligent, and extremely adept at understanding and repairing almost all mechanical and electrical systems. Sometimes this is used for good, and occasionally for mischievous purposes.

He's really not all that great at cooking, though.

Metatron

Metatron is an angel. Tall, imposing, and heart-breakingly beautiful, he has white hair that, like his skin, looks like it has been carved from some sort of mobile marble. He wears white almost all the time, though his watch chain is black. His eyes are pure black, too, with no whites or irises. While he does have wings, they are seldom seen, and are usually a sign of some extreme of emotion.

Proud and defiant in his sense of duty, self-righteous in his administering of justice, he nonetheless harbours a great secret within himself. He is soul-destroyingly lonely. He has laboured for over thirty thousand years in the servitude of a succession of Gods, unable to break the cycle of his existence. The first God, his Creator, did not realise that he would die, and made the Angels immortal, and quite probably invincible. When the first God died, the Angels could only continue their purpose; to serve God. This they did until a new God arose, when they served him.

This cycle has been repeating for millennia, and Metatron is tired.

Recently, however, someone has come to his attention, a vampire by the name of Asriel. Metatron's desire for Asriel is palpable, but he is torn between his need, on the one hand, and his moral convictions on the other. The fact that his God is dead is not helping, as his finds himself with nothing tangible to base his moral convictions upon.

The flurru of possibility with Asriel proved to be shortlived. As it happened, he had fallen under the gaze of Valtiele's sister Ruhariel, who had decided she would put her mark on him. Caught somewhat unawares - he was at that time still having mixed emotions as regarding her brother - he allowed himself to be seduced, and, in a moment of clarity, realised that they were perfect together.

The rest, as they say, is history.
